Motivation, Inspiration, and Dissertations
January 2nd is National Motivation and Inspiration Day. You still have 364 days ahead of you this year. Now is the time to start making them count!…
National Motivation and Inspiration Day designated by Congress in part to encourage people to focus on life and the amazing opportunities it provides following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
People observe National Motivation and Inspiration Day in a variety of ways. Some consider the the original inspiration for this day and observe a minute or two in silence as a form of respect to those people who lost their lives in the terrorist attack.
Others encourage those around them with positive motivational and inspirational words. (Lots of good karma, there.)
If you’re about to commence a new activity or facing any problem, like, say, a doctoral dissertation, it’s the perfect time to learn about the struggles others have faced in achieving their goals.
And, of course, whenever you’re undertaking a long-term project, the best way to stay motivated is to get crystal clear on your motivation.
Why are you pursuing your doctoral degree?
How will your life be different when you graduate?
It’s vital that you have a detailed vision of your future as a doctor. The richer the picture, the more intense the motivation it will provide.
Be sure to incorporate whatever originally called you to pursue your doctorate in your vision.
Those emotions spurred you to action at the start of your journey with your inspiration. They will be strong enough to motivate the action required for you to successfully complete your journey.
Motivation and inspiration can light the fuse, but discipline and know-how are the powder to fuel explosion that transforms an aspiring candidate into a future doctor!
